There is nothing above Him. Gye Nyame — "Except for God" — is the most revered of all the Adinkra symbols: a declaration of the omnipotence and supremacy of God. This is the one you wear when you want the world to know where your strength comes from.
The back carries the name in bold type, the meaning beneath it, and the symbol enlarged below — all in gold on Brown. The Blackmoon badge sits over the left chest in matching gold.
The meaning: Except for God — the omnipotence and supremacy of God.
